HALFWAY – For members of the public looking to learn more about the Wallowa Whitman National Forest’s Whitman Ranger District, discuss current management practices, or simply share their concerns about the forest, Whitman District Ranger Jeremey Aujero will be present at the Pine Field Office in Halfway on January 24, 2025. Ranger Aujero will have an open door to the community to answer questions and listen to feedback. In a press release for the visit, the U.S. Forest Service wrote:

“This is an opportunity for the local community and District Ranger Aujero to engage, establish relationships, and communicate about ongoings of the Whitman Ranger District. The overall goal is to provide a space where the community can ask specific questions, address concerns, and share thoughts with a local land management official.”
