WDFW releases data on wildlife recreation participation

OLYMPIA – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has released participation and spending date about fishing, hunting, and associated recreation in 2022.

Survey results show 4.4 million Washingtonians participated in wildlife-related recreation and spent more than $9.9 billion on equipment and trip-related expenses.

A total of 6.2 million people watched wildlife, 1.2 million people went fishing, and 290,000 people went hunting.
