PENDLETON – The city of Pendleton will be replacing a water valve in the Riverside area of Pendleton next week. City Manager Robb Corbett is asking people to spread the word about a planned shutdown of water in that area on Tuesday.

“There is going to be a large number of our customers that are going to be without water for about a three- to four-hour period of time,” Corbett said.

The city is advising people to draw water to hold in reserve for use during that time. Corbett said that the state requires the city to issue a 24-hour boil water notice because of the shutdown.

More details will be announced by the city on its website and social media pages in the near future.
