Water run off causes issues with sewer system in Burns

BURNS (Release from Harney County Emergency Management)-Areas of Burns are currently experiencing problems with the sewer system due to increased water levels from the runoff. The Impacted area is Folley Drive and North Broadway Avenue near Triangle Park.

Residents in the impacted areas are asked to limit their water usage.

There are no concerns about contamination as the water system is sealed and pressurized, which doesn’t allow for cross contamination.

The city of Burns Public Works is providing 24-hour coverage due to these issues. The City of Burns and other partners are working to resolve these issues and any others that may arise.
