Water restrictions lifted following work on Huntington’s water system

HUNTINGTON — Huntington residents can go back to watering their lawns. The city had a bit of trouble with its water system recently. The town made a public announcement on Sunday, August 10th, stating there was a problem with the well, and until repairs could be made, residents were asked to limit their water usage. Water customers were asked to cease the “…watering of lawns or any other unnecessary watering for at least 24 hours.”
The city announced on Tuesday that all watering restrictions have been lifted. Huntington officials stated, “We will continue to monitor the situation with the well, but at this time everything is working as it should be.”
City staff thanked all those involved in restoring the well’s operation back to normal, as well as the public for their understanding.
