Water Main repair will close road

LA GRANDE – (Information provided by La Grande Public Works)La Grande Public Works will be completing a repair of a water main leak on N Avenue (Washington Avenue to 9th Street) on Monday, November 1, 2021.
Crews will close N Avenue (Washington Avenue to 9th Street) on Monday at 8:30 am, and it will remain closed until the work on the water main has been completed. It is anticipated that the project will take the majority of the day.
Water to residences within a 2 block radius of the repair may be without water at some point during the project. If necessary, the size of the outage area will be dependent on what is discovered once the leak has been exposed.
Plan on alternative routes for your commute on Monday if possible and please refrain from parking vehicles on the project streets while the work is being completed. Drivers will be detoured around the work site as shown in the map below. N Avenue will be reopened to the public as soon as the work is completed.
