NORTH POWDER – In their August newsletter, the city of North Powder announced the water line flushing originally scheduled for the last week of July has been delayed. The reason for the delay is concerns that the extra volume of water in the system caused by flushing, combined with the recent high-water usage in the city, will overtax the system. Instead, flushing will be delayed until late August or early September when the system usage is expected to be lower. Residents should expect a notice posted at city hall when flushing begins.
