BAKER COUNTY — A Washington woman faces a bevy of charges after leading Oregon State Troopers on a dangerous pursuit through Baker County.

Troopers say that on Sunday, April 21 just before 5:00pm, an OSP Fish & Wildlife trooper located a vehicle involved in a hit and run crash on I-84 eastbound at milepost 325, near the Ash Grove Cement Plant. OSP say the vehicle was a U-Haul van that was driving recklessly. The U-Haul would not pull over and led troopers on a chase before OSP stopped it using a pursuit halting technique.

The driver, identified as Jamie Gregory of Port Orchard, resisted arrest before finally being taken into custody. Troopers say she further damaged state property trying to escape after she was arrested.

Gregory was taken to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Baker City where she was evaluated and blood was taken to test for DUII. Gregory was then lodged at the Baker County Jail for Reckless Driving, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer-Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Resist Arrest, Criminal Mischief II and Failure to Perform Duties of Driver When Property is Damaged.
