BAKER COUNTY – A traffic stop on I-84 last week in Baker County led to the arrest of a Washington fugitive and the seizure of what police described as a substantial amount of methamphetamine.
On March 3rd, 2026, Oregon State Police initiated a traffic stop on a Mazda sedan driven by Colton Magee Thomas, 32, of Spokane Valley, WA, for traffic violations. During the stop, OSP reports that Thomas displayed signs of impairment and was ultimately arrested on multiple charges.
Colton Thomas was lodged into the Baker County Jail on the following charges:
· DUII – Intoxicants and Controlled Substance
· Reckless Driving
· Possession of Methamphetamine – Substantial Quantity (10 g or More)
· Fugitive from Other State (Washington)
The Mazda sedan was towed from the scene.
