Warranty Scam Reported in Baker County by Community Connection

BAKER COUNTY – (Information from Community Connection of Baker County) Community Connection of Baker County is reporting a warranty scam. According to reports, a letter made, to look like an official notice from Community Connection of Northeast Oregon, claims that it is the owner’s final chance to renew their home warranty. The letter further claims the owner will receive an additional $200 off if they respond immediately. Bold, capitalized text is used to emphasize that the owner has not responded to previous letters, that the notice will be the final one, and that they need to call the number listed immediately. 

Community Connection of Northeast Oregon have not distributed these notices and urge residents not to respond to either the letters or any phone calls of the same nature.
