WALLA WALLA – A warrant has been issued for a Spokane woman arrested Aug. 22 on suspicion of bringing methamphetamine and other narcotics into the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla while visiting an inmate.

Brittany Nicole Jones, 37, was to appear Monday afternoon in Walla Walla County Superior Court to change her plea and be sentenced. She failed to appear, and Judge Brandon Johnson granted the state’s request for an arrest warrant.

According to court documents, Jones told police she was transported from Spokane to Walla Walla by Nolan Bryce Reed of Colbert. She said she was to receive $1,600 upon her return to Spokane if the exchange was successful.

Reed was also arrested on similar charges and pleaded not guilty. His trial is scheduled to begin on Dec. 16.
