Wallowa-Whitman National Forest hosts local open houses for public

NORTHEAST OREGON — (Release by Wallowa-Whitman NF) The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest is pleased to announce four Open Houses at the end of Winter moving into Spring.

The intent of these Open Houses is to discuss current ongoings of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and local projects with the Forest Supervisor, Shaun McKinney, Acting Deputy Forest Supervisor, Kristi Tapio-Harper, and the local District Ranger.

Here are the dates and locations of the public events:

Baker County: Tuesday March 12, 2024, 5-7 pm at the Baker County Conference & Event Center, 2600 East St, Baker City, OR 97814

Union County: Monday March 18, 2024, 5-7 pm at the Cook Memorial Library, 2006 Fourth St, La Grande, OR 97850

Wallowa County: Thursday April 4, 2024, 5-7 pm at Cloverleaf Hall, 600 NW 1st St, Enterprise, OR 97828

Nez Perce County: Thursday April 18, 2024, 5-7 pm at The Lewiston State Office Building, 1118 F Street, Lewiston, ID 83501

The overall goal of the open houses is for Forest Service leadership to give updates on ongoing projects, programs, and emphasis areas, to answer questions and engage in conversation with attendees. During the events, information will be shared, updates provided, and time for questions or comments.
