Wallowa-Whitman National Forest Hosts Local Open Houses for Public

EASTERN OREGON – (Release from the U.S. Forest service) The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest is pleased to announce three Open Houses this spring. The intent of these Open Houses is to discuss current ongoings of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and local projects with the Forest Supervisor, Shaun McKinney, Deputy Forest Supervisor, Anthony Botello, and the local District Ranger. For dates, times, and locations, please see below:

  • Union County: Tuesday June 13, 2023, 5-6 pm at the La Grande Ranger District Office, 3502 U.S.- 30, La Grande, OR 97850
  • Wallowa County: Thursday May 4, 2023, 5:30-6:30 pm at Cloverleaf Hall, 600 NW 1st St, Enterprise, OR 97828
  • Baker County: Thursday May 11, 2023, 5-6 pm at the Baker County Library, 2400 Resort St, Baker City, OR 97814

The overall goal of the open houses is for Forest Service leadership to give updates on ongoing projects, programs and emphasis areas, to answer questions and engage in conversation with attendees. During the events, information will be shared, updates provided, and time for questions or comments.
