WALLOWA, OR – Wallowa School District was awarded the maximum matching grants amount of $4 million through the Oregon School Capital Improvement Program (OSCIM). However, funds are only received when the general obligation bond passes. The (OSCIM) Program is providing matching grants to districts that pass a local general obligation bond. The goal of the program is to encourage local communities to invest in their district’s public schools. Commitments are made to districts ahead of the election so districts can inform their communities of the potential for additional funds from the state if the local bond passes. Prior to submitting an application for the OSCIM Program, Districts are awarded grants based on their position on the Priority List or First in Time List.
