WALLOWA – At the latest Wallowa School Board meeting, the latest directions from the Oregon Health Authority and the Oregon Department of Education for addressing COVID-19 were reviewed. Much of the new guidance has moved from mandatory to advisory, supporting local decision making. The Wallowa School District Board of Education voted to remove the mandate for mask wearing at school. Families, students, and staff can still choose to wear a mask, but this will not be mandated for the 2021-22 school year.
