Wallowa Land Trust protects an additional 128 acres

JOSEPH – (Information from the Wallowa Land Trust) In a recent update, the Wallowa Land Trust announced that they’ve officially conserved an additional 128 acres of land in Wallowa County. Owned by Pam and Randy Slinker, the forested acreage is located adjacent to Ferguson Ski Ridge near Joseph and will be permanently protected from future development. In the announcement, Wallowa land trust gave some very positive thoughts on the agreement, stating:

“Protection of this forested property means refuge for an astonishing array of wildlife, whose habitat is increasingly fragmented in this rapidly developing area. We feel honored to be able to work on projects like this with thoughtful landowners like the Slinkers who are thinking many generations ahead.”
