Wallowa County Soroptimists announce the 2026 Ruby Award Recipient

WALLOWA COUNTY – Wallowa County Soroptimists have announced this year’s recipient of the Ruby Award, a local chapter award set up to recognize local women who have to improve the lives of women and girls

“Soroptimists International of Wallowa County are pleased to announce that Cammie Hale of Joseph is the recipient of their 2026 Ruby Award! During her years in the banking industry, Cammie has mentored women and girls in business for over 25 years. She has also been a 4H leader and on the board of the Wallowa County 4H Leaders Association for over 18 years. In addition, she volunteers in the community, especially in education. Cammie is a strong woman who uses a calm voice to encourage young girls and women to step out of their comfort zone, raise up their expectations, and succeed. Soroptimists International of Wallowa County would like to thank Cammie for her many years of commitment to this community and the inspiration and encouragement she provides. She will receive her $1000 award at the Soroptimist Installation and Induction dinner on June 18th, 2026.

The Ruby Award is a local chapter award set up to recognize local women who have worked to improve the lives of women and girls. The individual has provided a significant impact on these women and girls and inspires and encourages them.”
