WALLOWA, OR – Wallowa County Search and Rescue will be hosting the 2021 Eastern Oregon SAR regional training at Salt Creek Summit and the surrounding area from Friday morning, June 25 to Sunday afternoon, June 27.

Region 1 (Eastern Oregon) is made up of ten counties and we expect 50-75 people at the training, which includes classroom and field work, demonstrations, and a mock incident response on Sunday morning. Many attendees will be camping in the vicinity during the event.

There may be significant traffic and UTV/ATV congestion in and around the Salt Creek Summit parking area during this time frame. The parking lot will be open to the public but parking may be limited due to the volume of SAR equipment and tents staged there.

The opportunity to train regularly with other regional agencies is invaluable and we appreciate your patience during this event.
