Wallowa County firefighters raised over $12,000 during Fill the Boot fundraisers

WALLOWA COUNTY โ€“ Itโ€™s not just fire that Wallowa Countyโ€™s firefighters are fighting, but hunger too!

Community Connection of Wallowa County recently announced that firefighters from Enterprise, Joseph, and Wallowa departments raised $12,541.67 and collected 642 pounds of food during recent โ€œFill-the-Bootโ€ fundraisers across the county. These donations will go to support the Wallowa County Food Bank.

In a social media post announcing the success, Community Connection wrote:

โ€œThis support means the world to the families in our community who are facing food insecurity. The impact is real, and itโ€™s powerful. To every firefighter who stood in the cold, every neighbor who donated, and every volunteer who helped coordinate… Thank you. Your kindness, commitment, and community spirit shine bright in Wallowa County.
