WALLOWA COUNTY – It’s not just fire that Wallowa County’s firefighters are fighting, but hunger too!
Community Connection of Wallowa County recently announced that firefighters from Enterprise, Joseph, and Wallowa departments raised $12,541.67 and collected 642 pounds of food during recent “Fill-the-Boot” fundraisers across the county. These donations will go to support the Wallowa County Food Bank.
In a social media post announcing the success, Community Connection wrote:
“This support means the world to the families in our community who are facing food insecurity. The impact is real, and it’s powerful. To every firefighter who stood in the cold, every neighbor who donated, and every volunteer who helped coordinate… Thank you. Your kindness, commitment, and community spirit shine bright in Wallowa County.
