Walla Walla woman pleads guilty for assaulting law enforcement officer

WALLA WALLA – Shawna Michelle Kirk, 46, of Walla Walla, pleaded guilty Monday afternoon in Walla Walla County Superior Court to third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer on June 30, 2025.
Judge Brandon Johnson accepted a joint recommendation for a first-time offender waiver, resulting in a 90-day incarceration, with 175 days credited for time served, and 12 months of community custody.
Kirk must also complete mental health and substance abuse evaluations and follow any treatment recommendations.
Arrested at Jefferson Park after a reported assault while intoxicated, Kirk bit an officer during her arrest.
