Walla Walla to hold public briefing on proposed tax increment area

WALLA WALLA – The city of Walla Walla will hold a public briefing tonight (Wednesday) at 5:30 p.m. on the proposed tax increment area which is centered around Myra Road. The briefing will be held in the City Council Chambers at Walla Walla City Hall, 15 N. Third Ave.

Funding of a TIA is from the increased property taxes from the new development within the TIA and the impact is primarily on the other taxing districts. A detailed projection of impacts on other local governments is shown in the draft report located on the city’s website.
