Walla Walla Public Schools hosts members of state legislative committee

WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla Public Schools is hosting members of the Washington State Legislature’s House of Representative’s Education Committee.
On Monday, the committee focused on the Teacher Residency Program, which creates a pathway for individuals with bachelor’s degrees to obtain a fully licensed special education teacher endorsement.
Today (Tuesday), the committee visits the Walla Walla Center for Children and Families to explore the transitional kindergarten and other early learning programs. Transitional kindergarten is for children who may need additional support or whose families lack access to community resources.
