Walla Walla Police detective sergeant retires after 31 years of service

WALLA WALLA, Washington — Thursday, January 31st, was Detective-Sergeant Mike Moses’ last working day at the Walla Walla Police Department (WWPD) after an impeccable 31-year career.

Moses began his career in 1988 as a Patrol Officer. During his career he was assigned as a Gang Detective in the 90’s followed by Community Policing Officer. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2004 and led many Patrol Squads before being selected to lead the Special Teams Unit in 2013. He was also a longtime member of the Regional Swat Team which eventually led him to
the title of Swat Tactical Commander.

In his off time, Mike enjoys mentoring youth in the Walla Walla Valley and the occasional rafting or motorcycle excursion.
