Walla Walla man to change plea in alleged child sex abuse case

WALLA WALLA – A Walla Walla man whose been awaiting trial for alleged child sex crimes that occurred between 2004 and 2017 in Walla Walla County is scheduled to change his plea. A hearing for Jesse Cantu DeLarosa is scheduled for Friday in Walla Walla County Superior Court.
He’s expected to plead guilty to two counts of third-degree child molestation, two counts of indecent exposure, and intimidating a witness, according to Walla Walla County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney April King. Sentencing will be set out so that the Washington State Department of Corrections can complete a pre-sentencing investigation since where are sex offense convictions.
Jesse and his wife, Tamara Lynette DeLarosa, were arrested in Brownsville, Texas, in the summer of 2022. She will be pleading guilty to tampering with a witness Thursday morning. Sentencing will be set out.
Since being extradited back to Walla Walla County, the couple has violated the conditions of their pretrial release.
