WALLA WALLA – Miguel Cisneros Lara, 42, of Walla Walla was sentenced Monday in Walla Walla County Superior Court to 160 months in prison for first- and second-degree rape of a child.
The investigation began when the victim, a 13-year-old girl, reported being raped in Cisneros Lara’s home on June 14, 2023, which led to her pregnancy.
After learning of the pregnancy, Cisneros Lara apologized to the victim and members of her family and fled to Mexico. He was later found and extradited to Washington.
He’s been convicted of two class A sex offenses, and after serving his sentence, he may be held in prison for life as determined by the parole board.
