WALLA WALLA – A Walla Walla man was sentenced Thursday to six months in jail for charges stemming from a September 1, 2025, high-speed pursuit where he attempted to ram a Walla Walla Police Department patrol car.

Adam James Morris, 32, pleaded guilty in Walla Walla County Superior Court to obstructing law enforcement and resisting arrest. The charges followed an incident where Morris led police on a chase reaching 80 miles per hour through Walla Walla, eventually ramming a WWPD patrol vehicle and causing over $5,000 in damage.

The court granted Morris credit for 206 days served, effectively completing his jail term. He received 12 months of supervised probation and signed an extradition waiver to resolve outstanding legal matters in Umatilla County before beginning his Washington probation.

Morris told the court the conflicting interstate cases had hindered his stability and contributed to periods of homelessness. Upon his release from Oregon custody, Morris must report to Walla Walla County probation within 10 days.
