WALLA WALLA – Three men were arrested Friday for allegedly robbing a 27-year-old man and holding him hostage. The Walla Walla Police Department said the victim was visiting a friend at an apartment on the 1600 block of Evergreen Street. While there, another person covered the victim’s head and ordered the victim to hand over his valuables. The victim told police a third suspect threatened him.
One of the suspects eventually opened the door to the apartment, encouraging the victim to try to flee without being harmed. The victim was able to flee successfully and call the police.
D’Sean Marks, 30, and Nicholas Harvey, 35, both from Walla Walla, along with Michael Duenas, 34, of Milton-Freewater, were arrested after a short standoff with police. All three were booked into the Walla Walla County Jail on charges of first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery, second and fourth-degree assault.
WWPD said motives are not clear at this time and that this is an ongoing investigation.
