WALLA WALLA – Juan Jesus Urena Enriquez, 24, of Walla Walla made his first court appearance Thursday in Walla Walla County Superior Court. He’s charged with three counts of rape of a child in the third degree, ten counts of communicating with a minor for immoral purposes, and furnishing liquor to a minor, following an investigation by the Walla Walla Police Department.
A Washington State Patrol trooper, who was assisting WWPD in locating Urena Enriquez, found him and his vehicle Christmas Eve on U.S. 12 at Nine Mile Hill and took him into custody.
According to court documents, Urena Enriquez started talking to the victim on Snapchat in June 2023, when she was only 15. The victim told police Urena Enriquez said he was only 17.
Urena Enriquez is currently being held in the Walla Walla County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
