WALLA WALLA – After a months-long investigation from the Walla Walla Police Department and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a Walla Walla man was arrested on May 28 on multiple child exploitation charges.
Jerry Skinner, 45, faces nine counts of felony first-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He is currently in the Walla Walla County jail with a $100,000 cash/surety bond.
The investigation began after law enforcement had received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about suspected child sexual abuse material that was linked to online accounts associated with a Walla Walla resident.
Detectives obtained and executed multiple search warrants which included requests for subscriber information and analysis of electronic evidence. On May 20 detectives searched a residence in the 2500 block of Issacs Avenue seizing multiple electronic devices for forensics examinations.
Investigators allege that through the information obtained and forensic examinations of electronic devices, probable cause was established that Skinner knowingly possessed the illegal material.
Skinner is also wanted in Oklahoma for similar offenses.
