WALLA WALLA — A 35-year-old Walla Walla man has been arrested on a felony charge in connection with a sweeping graffiti investigation that documented more than 100 vandalized sites across the city, police said.

Errin Durham was arrested on first-degree malicious mischief, a Class B felony, according to an update from the Walla Walla Police Department. Detectives tied Durham to 130 separate tagging locations between Jan. 1 and Sept. 25, estimating the total damage to property owners at $5,809.09.

Durham’s arrest marks the latest development in an ongoing property crime crackdown by local authorities.

On Sept. 25, detectives submitted charges against another man, John Grant III, 31, of Walla Walla, in connection with a separate series of graffiti incidents. Grant faces at least five charges of third-degree malicious mischief for allegedly writing inappropriate and grotesque phrases on private and public property around the city dating back to March.

Police emphasized that the unlawful markings were intended to be permanent and targeted property that did not belong to the suspects. The police department credited its officers, local businesses, and community members with helping identify Grant, while noting that investigations into other potential suspects remain active.

Authorities also praised the volunteer graffiti abatement team through Walla Walla Area Crime Watch for working to clean up and restore the affected properties.
