WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Parks and Recreation Department will host two open houses where residents can learn about the upcoming Pioneer Park playground improvements project, ask questions, and provide feedback.
The first event will be held at the playground off McKinley Street tomorrow (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to noon. The second event is on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 5-7 p.m.
In 2019 a committee was formed to come up with a concept and raise funds for a new adaptive playground to replace the current Pioneer Park playground. It was installed in 2003 and has come to the end of its useful life.
A virtual open house, featuring additional information and a short conceptual video of the new playground, is currently available online at https://wallawallawa.gov/playground.
