WALLA WALLA COUNTY – Beginning Tuesday, patrons of the Walla Walla County Rural Library District may request select materials be mailed to them. This free service is intended to serve those unable to access any of the district’s five physical branches.
Up to five items may be checked out at a time, and checkouts will be longer than usual to account for time spent in shipping. Items will arrive in a waterproof envelope, and a return prepaid address label will be included to mail items back to the library in the same envelope. Items may also be returned at any branch or library drop box. A reorder form will also be included.
In addition to books, patrons may request audio books on CD, magazines, DVDs and play-aways, which are audio books on a handheld standalone player. Items may be chosen on the district’s online catalog or speak to WWCRLD staff.
To sign up, call administrative center at 509-527-3284 (directory option 7) or go online to www.wcrld.org/programs-services/mail-order-services.
