WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla County Commissioners are holding a public hearing Monday afternoon on potentially setting speed limits for several gravel roads in the county.
“The action is due to high maintenance and safety concerns on these roads,” said Public Works Director Dan Mack at a meeting in February.
The county along with a consultant performed a mountainous gravel road speed study in August. Among the roads listed are Hatch Grade Road and Scenic Loop.
The public hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in the commissioners chambers at the Walla Walla County Public Health and Legislative Building.
