Walla Walla council approves police guild contract

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla City Council has unanimously approved the collective bargaining agreement between the city and Walla Walla Police Guild. The total estimated salary and associated benefits for the 2022-2024 labor agreement is $14.9 million, which is supported by the city’s general fund.

The agreement includes a six percent salary increase retroactive to Jan. 1, 2022; a five-point-five percent salary adjustment retroactive to Jan. 1, 2023; and a four-point-five percent salary adjustment that began on Jan. 1 of this year.

The labor agreement between the city and Walla Walla Police Guild was reached after several meetings beginning in 2021 and shall remain in effect until Dec. 31, 2024.
