WALLA WALLA โ The Walla Walla County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing Tuesday morning before they consider the adoption of the countyโs five-year homeless plan.
The plan will be a guiding document for homeless issues in Walla Walla County. It will be updated as needed, and will have annual report to commissioners, the Council on Housing and the stateโs Department of Commerce.
The mission of the plan is to, โReduce homelessness and housing instability in collaboration and using a continuous quality improvement framework.โ
Washington state law requires that each countyโs homeless housing task force develop and recommend to tis local government legislative authority a five-year local homeless housing plan for its jurisdictional area.
The public hearing will be held at 10 a.m. as part of Tuesdayโs session of the board of commissioners weekly meeting, followed by commissioners discussion and potential adoption.
