Walking School Bus wants to hear from you

LA GRANDE – The Safe Routes to School is hoping to start a program called the Walking School Bus. This program is for students who want walk to and from school. The program is designed for students to walk in a group supervised by an adult volunteer and to relieve the traffic congestion around the schools. The group meets at a designated location. Students can join the bus along a route to and from school, near their home, or they can be taken to a pick-up point and walk from there. This program has been successful in larger towns for a number of years.
