WALLA WALLA – Vaccination clinics at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds wrap up on Sunday and the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health and its partners will move to smaller, more frequent clinics on the Providence Southgate campus at 1025 S. Second Ave.
The Southgate Community Vaccination Clinic is holding three first-dose clinics on May 18-20 from 3-5 p.m. There will be approximately 100 Pfizer vaccine appointments available at each clinic and walk-in appointments are welcome.
Those coming for vaccinations should use the main entrance of the building. They are asked not to use the urgent care entrance.
Appointments can be scheduled online at WWDCH website. At present, only those 16 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine, and those younger than 18 must have written parental consent or have a parent or guardian present.
The Food and Drug Administration recently approved the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 12-15, but that must be approved by the Washington Department of Health before those appointments can be scheduled. Such approval is expected to come later this week.
