Volunteers to clean litter from section of Highway 95 in Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY — Friends of the Owyhee will be hosting highway cleanup efforts this Saturday. For their monthly โ€œStewardship Saturdayโ€ volunteer work, FOTO will meet at the Oregon-Idaho border to pick up litter on sections of the highway.

Friends of the Owyhee writes, โ€œPlease note that all participants for this cleanup need to be over 18 due to proximity to the highway. Weโ€™ll go over some safety tips and choose areas to pick up trash beside the road.โ€

The Friends of the Owyhee Adopt-A-Highway location is at the state line pull-out on U.S. Highway 95. Volunteers will meet beginning at 10:00 a.m. November 1st.
