MALHEUR COUNTY — Volunteers will gather and take part in what organizers are calling a “heavy-duty stewardship day” in the Succor Creek area of Malheur County. Friends of the Owyhee (FOTO), Sons of Smokey (SOS), and the Idaho Gambler 208 group are all partnering to clean up the area March 27th through the 29th.
FOTO expressed, “We’re hauling out the big stuff—burned RVs, abandoned campers, & major trash piles.”
All are welcome to camp and participate in the cleanup efforts. Organizers state that high-clearance vehicles, gloves, eye protection, sturdy footwear, water, food, and personal safety gear are all needed for the event.
