Violation of a restraining order leads to arrest on multiple charges

LA GRANDE – Robert Freeley of La Grande has been arrested on multiple counts related to a Restraining Order violation.  According to reports from the La Grande Police Department (LGPD), the victim obtained a restraining order against Freeley on February 17, 2023.  Since that time there have been multiple instances of unwanted phone calls, emails, texts and social media posts.  

The victim was able to provide numerous documents of proof of the repeated unwanted contact by Freeley. Officer Herbelwith the La Grande Police Department was able to locate Freeley near the library in La Grande and arrest him on various charges without incident. 

Charges included:

•Telephonic Harassment – 14 counts 

•Restraining Order Violation

•StalkingFreeley is currently housed in the Union County Jail.
