BAKER COUNTY – The 10th Annual Veterans Appreciation Ski Day at Anthony Lakes was another huge success bringing in close to 300 veterans and their families.

This year’s event was held this past Monday, February 24, and included free lift tickets, rentals, and lessons as well as lunch for veterans and their immediate family

According to Chelsea Judy with the Anthony Lakes Outdoor Recreation Association, “Anthony Lakes cooked close to 300 burgers, gave out 225 lift tickets, provided 25 ski/snowboard lessons, and gave 35 non-skiing vets and family members rides to the top of the mountain in our Ladybug snowcat.”

Noting that this was the largest turnout to date!
