Veterans Memorial Pool reopening delayed to 3:00 p.m. September 7

LA GRANDE – A heads up for La Grande residents and local swimmers, the maintenance closure for Veterans Memorial Pool has been slightly extended. According to Aquatics and Recreation Superintendent Mark Tanner, the pool is now set to open to the public on Monday, September 7, at 3:00 p.m. instead of 5:30 a.m. as normal. As written by staff in the recent announcement:
“Our maintenance team is completing repairs to ensure the pool is safe, fully operational, and ready for public use. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we finish this important work, and we look forward to welcoming you back.”
The pool has been closed since August 24th for maintenance.
