Vehicle pursuit in the Oxbow area of Hells Canyon ends in arrest

BAKER COUNTY – On January 20th at 5:20pm, The Adams County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Oregon State Police advising they were currently in pursuit of a White Ford F150 along with Baker County Sheriff in the Oxbow area of Hells Canyon. The driver of the vehicle, who is wanted by the Washington State Department of Corrections for escape, fled on foot after abandoning his vehicle.
A multi-agency search of the area was conducted. Shane Carpenter, 46 of Puyallup, Washington was apprehended and taken into custody without incident.
