Vehicle Pursuit ends in custody of wanted felon

LA GRANDE – (Press release provided by the Union County Sheriff’s Department) On 3-31-2021 Union County Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop in La Grande on a white BMW for traffic violations. The vehicle failed to yield to the Deputy’s lights and sirens, and continued to travel through the west side of La Grande up Fox Hill Rd. Deputies continued the pursuit down Robbs Hill Rd Where Sheriff Cody Bowen and his Deputies were staged. The vehicle finally came to a stop in the roadway and both occupants were detained.
Cody Trace Hamlin DOB: 10-5-90 of 2196 North 2nd La Grande Oregon was arrested and lodged in the Union County Jail on the following charges:
Attempt to elude (vehicle)
FTA Bench Warrant
Parole Violation
PCS Heroin
PCS Methamphetamine
Reckless Driving
Reckless Endangering
