Vehicle crashes into Walla Walla nail salon

WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla firefighters and police officers responded Sunday afternoon to a vehicle that crashed into a retail business.
The owners of Fancy Nails and Spa Pedicure, 497 N. Wilbur Ave., said a female, driving a vehicle with Oregon plates, drove through their front glass wall and window at 3:37 p.m. almost hitting an employee seated at a work station. While the business is typically closed on Sundays, it was open at the time of the accident.
When first responders arrived, the vehicle was completely inside the business.
Authorities said a 49-year-old woman was wearing sandals which somehow interferred with the pedals. The driver was not injured. An occupant of the business sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.
