WALLA WALLA – A Walla Walla woman charged with arson earlier this month entered a not guilty plea at her arraigned Monday in Walla Walla County Superior Court.
Hannah Van Donge, 25, was arrested June 17, a day after allegedly starting a fire at a home on the 1200 block of Whitman Street following an argument she had with her father. Police located Van Donge attempting to scale a backyard fence near the residence. She was taken into custody without incident.
Van Donge is currently being held in the Walla Walla County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
The home sustained significant smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported. Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney Jim Nagle said Van Donge’s jury trial is set to begin on Aug. 16.
