MISSION – The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation is providing the Pfizer vaccine to 1,755 people in clinics at Wildhorse from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12 and 13. Second doses will be given on May 3 and 4. The vaccine is an unanticipated supply from Indian Health Services.

“When IHS offered to provide us with additional doses, we jumped at the chance,” CTUIR Board of Trustees Chairwoman Kat Brigham said. “We asked the National Guard if they would once again step up and they didn’t hesitate to say yes.”

All Blue Mountain Community College staff and students, all 16 and older high school students as well as all school employees throughout Umatilla County are eligible to make an appointment. In addition, employees of Pendleton restaurants, food trucks, and grocery stores are eligible.

People who were previously eligible are also welcome to participate. Those include all Umatilla Indian Reservation residents 16 and older, Yellowhawk-eligible patients, tribal members, and employees and family members of employees of all CTUIR entities.

Appointments may be scheduled by calling 541-240-8733 or registering online at https://airtable.com/shrb74wCvlR6fnNJR.

BMCC students will need to bring a copy of their term schedule from the CNS portal and  high school students should be prepared to show the school ID.
