UTV crash proves fatal

UMATILLA COUNTY – The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office reports that a 15-year-old boy was killed in a crash while he was operating a Polaris 900 Crew UTV.
The report of the crash was received at 2:43 p.m. Friday. The crash occurred at West Birch Creek south of Yellow Jacket Road. The responding deputy said that the boy’s family became aware of the fatal collision shortly after it occurred.
First responders report the boy was deceased when they arrived on the scene.
