Updated events for Skate Park grand opening

ENTERPRISE, OR – Baker City recently ran the “Bike for the Health of It” event and will be participating in some bike repair sessions and bike rides during the Grand opening of the Skate Park in Enterprise. In an earlier story, we reported the City of Enterprise approved a new Skate Park thanks to the hard work of students from the Alternative Education Program at Building Healthy Families. Donations and grants, up to $80,000 have been received to make this project possible this summer. New skateboard ramps will be replaced as the park develops a new image.
A grand opening is scheduled for August 7th with Pro-Skater and MTV celebrity Brandon Novak as the guest speaker. Snacks will be provided. The skate park is located at the corner of School Street and Highway 82, near the baseball fields.
