Update: All hospital and clinic operations have resumed after bomb threat

Harney County (Released by Harney District Hospital)-n response to an emailed bomb threat that was sent to multiple hospitals throughout the state, local law enforcement officers conducted a thorough sweep of Harney District Hospital and its affiliated clinics yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, Jan. 2). THEY DID NOT IDENTIFY ANYTHING OF CONCERN, AND ALL HOSPITAL AND CLINIC OPERATIONS HAVE RESUMED.

Although the FBI does NOT consider this to be a credible threat, hospital and clinic staff were instructed to remain vigilant and report anything that might appear suspicious or out of place.

Harney District Hospital would like to thank all responding law enforcement officers for their rapid response and careful consideration of this matter as well as the numerous community partners who offered assistance. We would also like to thank our patients and the community for their cooperation and patience as we worked with law enforcement to investigate the situation. The health and safety of our patients, employees, and the community will always be our top priority.
